About the facilitators of the Leadership Development Program
Ronalda Walsh is a partner in Revel Events & Communications, specialists in communications strategy development, training, television/video production, and event planning and management, and has an extensive communications background working for government, agencies, and business. Ronalda began her career in the media as a news director, anchor, and reporter and has worked for the CBC in a number of capacities including as a senior producer/host on CBC Radio. She is an award-winning journalist with expertise in radio, television and online, with a strong marketing background.
Susan Sparkes is the founder of The EXTRAordinary Women, which provides a forum, training programs, and a speaker-based mentorship series to assist women to develop their careers and to connect and support each other to achieve professional goals.. Susan also offers business workshops and seminars for individuals and organizations in Business Protocol/Customer Service-Ability/Executive I.Q. and created the Leadership Development Program, now offered as workshops with The EXTRAordinary Women.
Caron Hawco is an accomplished, high-performing business executive and public/regulatory affairs strategist, offering global, private and public sector experience. Specializing in offshore oil and gas and natural resources, Caron operates the Caron Hawco Group, a consultancy supporting local, national, and international companies interested in pursuing and managing business opportunities in Atlantic Canada.
Brenda Kelleher-Flight is the President of GDP Consulting Inc. and an expert in corporate governance, dispute resolution, strategic and business planning, policy development and facilitation. A published author, Brenda trains trainers, offers resources that professionals can use themselves, and customized workshops on all aspects of governance for boards, team building, and personal development.
Gerlinde Van Driel, QC
Gerlinde Van Driel, QC, is a partner at Rose Van Driel Scott and has been involved in Atlantic Canada’s offshore oil and gas developments since the mid-80’s. She was on the team retained to advise the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador in its negotiations relating to the Terra Nova Oil Project and previously advised Husky Oil and was associated with the White Rose Project. Experienced as an intermediary, she dealt with local and international subcontractors, as well as suppliers serving the offshore industry. Amongst other distinctions, Ms. van Driel served on the selection board of the Genesis Centre at Memorial University and functioned as honourary director and legal counsel to the Geological Association of Canada and chairs the Board of Fabcon Canada Inc.
Jennifer Clement is Office Managing Partner for KPMG’s St. John’s, NL practice. She is an Audit Partner with over 24 years of professional experience with a focus on providing audit and related services to not-for-profit organizations and charities, as well as public companies and privately owned commercial clients.
